Finland’s sucess requires increased investment in education and research from the next government

Hanken has together with the universities, the universities of applied sciences, the student organisations and vocational interest associations in Finland signed a statement regarding the coming government’s higher education policy. The statement proposes

• by the government given long-term directions regarding education, scientific and innovation policies
• increased investments in research, development and innovation
• removing redundancies and focusing on larger entities concerning funding
• the choice of education and research as the spearhead theme of the Council of the European Union presidency
