During the Trainee Programme your home base will be the Export Finance team in Helsinki. Export Finance is part of Transaction Services within Large Corporates & Financial Institutions – a cornerstone of SEB’s offerings to large corporates, where we daily deliver a world class service to our clients. You will get an in-depth knowledge of SEB, as well as an option to expand your programme with a one month international internship abroad. Export Finance Trainee Position:
As an Export Finance Trainee, you will get hands-on experience in a team that supports customers export business’ by providing finance in a form of structured loans on a global basis. You get to work with international customers which means meetings around the world. Right from the start you will be working with experienced colleagues in global sales processes as well as executing the projects. Your responsibilities include for example market research, financial analysis, credit modelling, contract preparations and support in sales negotiations. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders including customers, export agencies such as Finnvera, legal offices and colleagues from other departments at SEB.

About the International Trainee Programme:
The trainee programme consists of three main parts: common SEB courses, individual development, cross collaboration activities and on-the-job training.
The common courses are divided into blocks and include communication & negotiation skills, agile way of working and personal development & self-awareness.
Exchanges with other units in and outside your home country will be a natural part of the trainee programme.
You also have the option to add a month´s internship abroad after the main programme.
You will start the programme in September 2019 together with around twenty other trainees in the Nordics, Baltics and Germany. In the Export Finance Trainee position, we hope that you can start your SEB journey already during spring 2019 (start date negotiable).

An academic degree in business, engineering, social sciences or equivalent – We appreciate diversity in backgrounds, therefore your motivation, attitude and career goals are more important than your study major
You are, or soon to be, graduated and have some work experience
You are fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English
You are eager to pursue a career at SEB after graduation/traineeship
It is not a requirement but a plus if you have experience acquired through leading projects, have worked within customer service or other service areas and have studied/worked abroad.
As an Export Finance Trainee you will be working in a customer facing role and therefore the ability to build relations and drive to take ownership of your own work are crucial. We hope that you have a can-do attitude and a strong drive forward. You also have excellent communication skills. You are a fast learner and continuously seek to develop your competence with an entrepreneurial mind-set. You work accurately with numbers and documentation and are a proficient user with Microsoft Office tools. In this role it is important that you are willing to spend time abroad.
