During the Trainee Programme your home base will be the Markets team in Helsinki. Markets is a part of the Large Corporates & Financial Institutions division consisting of about 600 employees in 14 countries. You will get an in-depth knowledge of SEB, as well as an option to expand your programme with a one month international internship abroad. THIS IS YOUR TRAINEE PROGRAMME
Markets Trainee Position:
As a Markets Trainee you will deepen your knowledge in the financial markets in general and in the FICC asset classes (fixed income, currencies and commodities). In Markets we support our corporate and institutional clients in capital markets investing by providing in-depth analysis, advisory and execution. Your responsibilities include for example following the financial markets and trends and modelling different scenarios with statistical methods. You will work with diverse tasks to get a good overview of the various products and roles within Markets and get to learn from experienced colleagues.

About the International Trainee Programme:
The trainee programme consists of three main parts: common SEB courses, individual development, cross collaboration activities and on-the-job training.
The common courses are divided into blocks and include communication & negotiation skills, agile way of working and personal development & self-awareness.
Exchanges with other units in and outside your home country will be a natural part of the trainee programme.
You also have the option to add a month´s internship abroad after the main programme.
You will start the programme in September 2019 together with around twenty other trainees from the Nordics, Baltics and Germany.

An academic degree in business, engineering, social sciences or equivalent – We appreciate diversity in backgrounds, therefore your motivation, attitude and career goals are more important than your study major
You are, or soon to be, graduated and have some work experience
You are fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English
You are eager to pursue a career at SEB after graduation/traineeship
It is not a requirement but a plus if you have experience acquired through leading projects, have worked within customer service or other service areas and have studied/worked abroad.
As a Markets Trainee you need to stay updated on current topics in the global economy, and therefore a curious mind and an urge to deepen your knowledge are important. You are a person with strong analytical skills, mathematical problem-solving capacity and data analysis capability (e.g., Excel/VBA, Python, R or other similar tools/languages). You approach the big picture as well as smaller details in a structured way and strive to simplify what is complex. As we work with customers and in a close team, you believe in collaboration and have great social skills.
