My name is Christian Nygård, 24 years old from Kokkola (on the west coast). I’m a third year student at Hanken with accounting as my major and management and organization as minor. I became active in the student union already during my first semester at Hanken as a member of the IHD-team. I have also been a part of Exchange Committee, and I was the Vice President there one semester.
My responsibility in the executive board 2018 is Social- and Academic affairs, which means that I work with representing and guard the interests of all our members in SHS. Being responsible for social affairs, I guard the interests of all our members in the Finnish Student Health Service (YTHS), Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region (Hoas), Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) and Nyyti. My responsibility for academic affairs means that I keep in contact with many organisations with whom SHS co-operates, such as the National Union of University Students in Finland and other student unions. It is my task to guard the interests of every student in Hanken in these organizations, and make our voice heard.
You are more than welcome to come and speak with me or make contact if you have questions about what I am doing or if you want to know more about social affairs and academic affairs. I would also like you to tell me about eventual praise and complaints you have about these organizations, because it helps me in my work with these organizations.
I hope to have an amazing year together with you, see you around!
